You have awakened that which slumbered in the sands for millennia...
In the Age Before Light
Before the first sun crested the horizon, the world was an endless ocean of black soil — formless, silent, and heavy with potential. The gods grew restless. They reached into the primordial dark and pulled forth a creature small enough to hold in a clenched fist, yet powerful enough to reshape the earth beneath their feet.
This was Khabiru — the First Beetle. With the strength of a thousand oxen compressed into an armored shell, Khabiru rolled the great celestial orb across the void and set it ablaze. That rolling orb became the sun. And so beetles became gods.
To roll forward without ceasing — that is the oldest prayer ever uttered.
— The Book of Khabiru, First Verse
